CASTING NOTICE
Indie film looking for men of all ethnicities to play boxers needs two men with the following description:
Rocco’s men should look physically intimidating and preferably Italian (or at least have darker features than the Irish-looking men Kerrigan is with). Middle-aged work great but a little younger is okay too. The important thing is that they actually look like serious, intimidating men.

Maine Filmmaker Showcase: HOLLY STAR
In the Filmed-in-Maine movie HOLLY STAR, a broke puppeteer returns home for the holidays and gets caught up in a treasure hunt with her paintball-obsessed best friend, her tango-dancing grandmother, and a childhood sweetheart. HOLLY STAR(shot in Biddeford, Saco, and Kennebunk) screens in Portland tomorrow followed by a talkback with filmmakers writer-director-producer Michael Nickles, producer Scott Taylor and actor Pam Chabora. Brought to you by the Maine Film Association and Portland Media Center.

NEH Media Projects Production Grant
National Endowment for the Humanities Media Production Grant Deadline 01-08-2020
The Media Projects: Production Grants program supports the production and distribution of radio, podcast, television, and long-form documentary film projects that engage general audiences with humanities ideas in creative and appealing ways. All projects must be grounded in humanities scholarship and demonstrate an approach that is thoughtful, balanced, and analytical. The approach to the subject matter must go beyond the mere presentation of factual information to explore its larger significance and stimulate reflection. Maximum award amount $1 million

If you’d like a production company to stay or film at your property, you can upload location photos to the MFO website.
You can also create a free listing for your business so productions can contact you about any goods and services you offer.
