“It doesn’t feel real” Hollywood actor from Scarborough in Maine filming movie he wrote

” It’s not often Hollywood comes to Maine to shoot a movie. But it’s happening right now. The film’s crew have been shooting scenes the last few weeks in Portland and Old Orchard Beach. It’s a dream come true for Greg Finley, an actor from Scarborough who wrote the screenplay more than a decade ago.” – NEWS CENTER Maine

MFO first met with Greg in 2014 about filming in Maine and we’re happy to see him make it back home to shoot this film. Congrats to two talented Maine natives, Greg Finley (Scarborough) and Edwin Stevens (Kennebunk). See the entire article – and a video – from NEWS CENTER Maine below:

"We have been fortunate to have made two movies in Maine — The Way We Get By and Beneath The Harvest Sky.” Maine is a very special state in that there are so many options for locations. Given its size, you can travel to northern Maine, southern Maine, all along the coast, and tell a number of different stories in totally unique worlds with each film having very distinctive looks. The abundance of locations combined with the incredible generosity of the people and communities, make filmmaking in Maine a pure joy. We would not be filmmakers today without the support from the people of Maine and we will be forever grateful."
